Check out our Match Results Page - Great commentary & a good insight to how well the ponds are fishing!

02/03/2019 - Hull Angling Centre
Geoffry brought his Hull Angling Centre club to fish a winter league match on Lambwath pond. At the start the weather was overcast with the temperature around 8 degrees, it became a little warmer as the sun came out during the match but became cooler as the wind increased later in the afternoon. It became obvious during the match that most of the fish were being caught on the southern bank and as it turned out the top four weights came from the high number pegs. The scales required very close scrutiny to separate first and second place, eventually putting Ian in first place with 55lbs 3ozs, edging out Lenny by 2 ozs who finished with 55 lbs. 1 oz. How close was that? Colin followed in third position with 40 lbs. from peg 25. Kev. Carter took fourth place in peg 29 with 30 lbs. 9 ozs. The first three names with be familiar to readers as featuring regularly in Big Ken`s successful summer league last season. All in all not a bad match with decent weights for this time of the year Better luck next time Geoff!!.

  Peg Number Name Catch
1st Lambwath 27 I. Ireland 55 lbs. 3 ozs.
2nd Lambwath 30 L. Pulford 55 lbs. 1 oz.
3rd Lambwath 25 C. Smith 40 lbs. 9 ozs.

Nice to see the weights creeping back up!!
